Core responsibilities will typically include:

• Provide financial reports, interpret, and relay financial information to management.
• Advise on current investment activities and future strategies.
• Ensure the financial health of the organisation and develop control policies and procedures.
• Analyse sales, costs, pricing, to compare actual performance to business plans.
• Review and evaluate costs, as well as highlighting trends and projecting company finances.
• Oversee operations of the finance department (working alongside the Ops Director).
• Manage the company’s budget, and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Liaise with external accountants to ensure effective monitoring of finances and governance.
• Coordinate and direct budgets, financial forecasts and report any variances.
• Work with other departments, to discuss financial plans and agree future paths.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.

Expected Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Business-related degree OR professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, AAT)  - Part-qualified OR currently studying all considered 
• Experience producing financial statements, closing month and year-end accounts.
• Solid understanding of any accounting software (Xero used).
• Strong communication skills, able to relate financial information to all audiences.
• An analytical, personable, proactive, and collaborative approach: with a keen eye for detail.

Ideally:

• Finance experience gained in an agency environment / project environment.
• Worked in a high growth environment (this agency are in scale up mode)
