Core responsibilities will typically include:

Planning & Strategy:

• Collaborating, Creating, Implementing, Controlling and Communicating Strategic plans to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Operational Delivery:

• Maintain active involvement in all operational aspects.
• Identify growth opportunities.
• Develop and coach the SMT, especially in areas of Planning & Strategy.
• Prepare budgets – deliver within them – and report status to the board.
• Install and implement policies, controls, accounting standards and procedures.

Leadership:

• Act as a business confidant and counsel to the CEO.
• Manage and monitor company operations.
• Provide leadership and guidance and promote a culture of high performance.
• Plan for the continued and stable expansion of UK operations.

Expected Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Experience working as a COO / Head of Operations or similar within a financial start-up.
• Compelling technological background: product ownership / delivery, ideally within Issuance.
• Proven Commercial aptitude within Digital, Fintech or Financial Start-up or Scale-up.
• Adept at working cross-functionally, thinking strategically, and providing practical guidance.
• Excellent project, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Strong understanding of technical concepts, an analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• A persuasive communicator and public speaker, able to act as UK CEO as and when required.
• Comfortable leading / managing teams to tight deadlines, remaining calm under pressure.
