Core responsibilities will typically include:

  • Onboarding new clients, evaluating transferred portfolios.
  • Business development activities, qualifying potential new clients.
  • Conducting periodic client reviews to ensure client records are compliant.
  • Establishing rolling client review schedules, including ISA and Capital Gains Tax positions, where applicable.
  • Undertaking trades, followed-up by letter or email correspondence to clients.
  • Augmenting and maintaining investment research records.
  • Monitoring debit account positions, liquidity considerations, income payments, client fees and producing invoices.
  • Review of corporate actions and their implementation on client accounts
  • Dealing with internal business requests for information and keeping client files up to date.
  • Coordinating with the Financial Planning team and administration team, in branch and HO.
  • Dealing with Client queries, emails, postal correspondence, and telephone calls.
  • Periodic face to face meetings with clients outside of the office (circa once a fortnight)
  • Supporting the wider team at meetings and preparation of documentation beforehand.
  • Once authorised (within 6 months of joining), being responsible for the ongoing restructuring and evaluation of client investment portfolios.

Expected Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Solid experience of a similar role within Investment Management.
  • FCA Authorisation to give advice.
  • Qualified to a minimum level 4 Diploma Investment Advice (CISI / equivalent industry body).
  • Demonstrable evidence to support the investment decisions (corporate or personal).
  • Seeking a varied role, with a natural ‘sleeves rolled up’ approach.
  • Articulate, client centric with a natural ability to build rapport and trust.
  • Innately organised, outstanding time management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with excellent comprehension skills.
  • Numerically minded, comfortable managing large amounts of data.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Tech savvy, familiar working with investment systems and portals
