Networks Sector Director, Energy Industry - South-East

Residing within the Energy / Infrastructure industry you will have acquired experience of developing and leading large solution-led sales initiatives with clients. You will have a strong command of electrical networks, energy efficiency, smart grids, and zero carbon generation both within heat and electricity.

Responsibilities will include: 

As the Networks Sector Director, you will have responsibility for the P&L on multiple existing areas, as well as the requirement to develop a range of new propositions to support the development of the sector. Having an entrepreneurial mindset and the appetite to develop new propositions and seize opportunities with prospective clients across the public and private sectors is a key attribute in this role.

The role includes responsibility for the following areas:

• Private Networks - covering the acquisition of existing electrical private networks.
• Ownership of the Independent Electrical connections business stream.
• New build developments - electrical networks for clients which support low carbon technologies.
• Development of smart energy systems – enabling multi-vector asset deployment in large energy accounts (e.g., Local authorities, private developers, I&C).

 Prerequisites:

• Full driving licence.
• Experience of developing/leading large solutions led sales initiatives with clients in the energy/infrastructure sector
• Experience of the energy industry focussed on electrical networks, energy efficiency, smart grids, zero carbon and generation (heat and electricity), and behind the meter technologies.
• Experience in developing bespoke and new commercial models with customers particularly those involving capital investment.
• Experience with energy performance contracts and the measurement & verification of energy savings.
• An understanding of energy systems modelling including simulation and optimisation of multi-vector systems will be essential.
• Technical knowledge within engineering: electrical, mechanical, energy or building services.
• Business development experience: consulting with clients, tenders, and leading bid teams.
• Experience leading a teams of energy professionals with challenging targets.
• Degree educated (or equivalent)
