Refrigeration Engineer, Offshore - Scotland

Core responsibilities will typically include:

  • Client representative on site.
  • Installation of air conditioning, refrigeration pipework and refrigeration equipment.
  • Conduct pressure testing and brazing.
  • Conduct Commissioning and servicing of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • Conduct refrigeration pipework brazing, bending, setting and joining.
  • Conduct leak testing, evacuation and charging of systems.
  • Conduct servicing water chillers and air handling units.
  • Carry out refrigeration surveys.
  • Comply with company HSEQ policies and procedures are safe.
  • Ensure all personnel under your direct charge are suitably trained.
  • Adhere to the controls in risk assessments, RAMS and COSHH assessments.
  • Visually inspect and check tools, equipment and plant which has been issued.
  • Participate in audits and inspections.
  • Actively contribute and work towards HSEQ goals, objectives, targets.

Expected Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant experience gained within the HVAC and Refrigeration industry.
  • Hold a valid Offshore certification such as BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction Training)
  • Hold a valid MIST Certificate (Minimum Industry Safety Training)
  • Achieved a F-GAS 2079 (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Educated to a standard of SVQ, NVQ III or Apprenticeship in a technical discipline.
  • Comfortable working on offshore contracts (circa 180 days per year on different assignments).
